Board approves $2.74M contract to replace part of detention center roof

The Clermont County Board of Commissioners authorized the vice president of the board to execute Ohio Buys/ODOT contract number 25-OH-260811 with Garland DBS Inc. for a partial roof replacement at the Clermont County Adult Detention Center.
Ronnie Ross, director of facilities management, presented the contract recommendation and stated a contract price of $2,742,905 with a completion date of Dec. 31, 2026. The board moved and approved the measure by roll call.
Staff noted the work is contingent on release of required purchase approvals; the capital-plan update earlier in the meeting explained the county is re-timing some projects and can accommodate the cost within the current plan without immediate supplemental appropriations.
