The Stark County Community Unit School District #100 Board of Education adopted its Fiscal Year 2025 budget after a public hearing at the Sept. 23 meeting. President Ann Orwig opened the hearing and Superintendent Brett Elliott presented an overview, saying there have been no significant changes since the tentative budget; "Seeing no visitor’s comments or questions, President Orwig closed the public hearing." Bruce West moved to approve the budget and Dane Richards seconded; the motion passed 6-0.
Elliott told the board the final budget was built conservatively and includes potential negative balances in several funds if emergency spending exhausts them, but he does not anticipate negative spending except to cover remaining costs in Fund 20 for the Track/Gym Project. The adoption clears the district to move forward with planned operations for 2024–25; the board did not amend the presentation during the meeting.
