Horry County committee reviews FY26 revenue projection and one-time funding schedule

Pam, a county staff presenter, told the committee the FY26 tax revenue budget is projected at $7,360,000, a 2.5% increase over the FY25 projection, and said the expected fund balance is $972,030. "We do anticipate there will be one-time funding at the end of the year," Pam said while reviewing a list of one-time and fixed requests and the proposed proviso splits (5%/30%/65%).
Pam also summarized next steps for the budget timeline: the Administrative Committee will review the committee's recommendations on April 29, County Council will hold the second reading on May 6 and the third reading on May 20. The committee used Pam's presentation as the basis for approving a set of funding recommendations that will be forwarded to those scheduled reviews.
