Village Public Works presented results of an independent fire-system audit that identified numerous upgrades needed to comply with the National Fire Code, including outdated or nonfunctioning panels and missing sprinklers in some buildings. Joe said Omega Pro Systems was the lowest bidder on three related projects and recommended combining the work into a single contract not to exceed $175,560; trustees approved the resolution.
Staff emphasized the work is intended to address code compliance and improve safety across village facilities; the contract covers upgrades to fire sprinklers, alarms and associated devices as specified in the audit.
