The Village Board approved a design agreement with Engineering Enterprises Inc. (EEI) for the Belmont, Addison and Center roadway and water-main improvement project. Public Works staff said the village was awarded $600,000 in DuPage County Community Development Block Grant funds to help cover an estimated total construction cost of about $2.7 million; after negotiations, EEI proposed a design fee of $145,501 (about 5.3% of estimated construction cost).
Joe said the scope will include roughly 3,500 linear feet of 8- and 12-inch water main, about 1,000 feet of new storm sewer, pavement reconstruction, curb-and-gutter replacement, ADA sidewalk upgrades and landscaping. Staff recommended approval to begin design so the project can proceed in 2026.
