The board voted to approve a CHBP federal-aid funding agreement for the North Bridge on Dogwood (S 10 over Winans Creek, Section 34). Staff (S2) briefed the board that the project’s preliminary estimated cost is $704,000 and the grant is expected to cover the majority of the cost while the county will fund the remainder from bridge funds.
S2 told the board the project is coordinated with the state’s bridge letting and that WHKS (the county’s bridge engineer) is also the state’s bridge engineer for that structure to keep timing aligned. S1 read contract figures into the record: “the state would come in with $460,008.33 according to the contract here.” The motion to approve the federal aid agreement was made, seconded and carried by voice vote.
