Alexandria board approves resolution to pursue Swan Hollow culvert under state aid

The Town Board voted to adopt a resolution authorizing the Town of Alexandria to move forward with the Swan Hollow culvert replacement under New York state aid programs, including the Bridge New York program. Clerk Sandy read the resolution language and the board approved it on a roll-call vote.
Rob told the board that the town had received a signed copy of the grant agreement that provides 100% funding and that, once the grant agreement is executed, the town will need to hire a DOT consultant for design and construction services. "Once you execute the grant agreement, then the next step will be to hire a DOT consultant," Rob said, and he recommended hiring Barton & Lejutis. He added the town would have a draft consultant agreement for the January meeting.
