Horry County financials: revenues at $330.8M through February, general fund near 84% of budget

Miss Norman presented Horry County's month-end financial report for Feb. 28, 2025, saying total revenues across all funds were $330,800,000 and that approximately 70% of that total came from the general fund. "So looking at revenues across all funds, we're at $330,800,000 with 70% of that coming from the general fund," she said, and added that general fund revenues stood at about $228,000,000, or almost 84% of the annual budget.
Norman also reported expenditures across all funds were just over $212,000,000, with general fund expenditures at $157,000,000 (about 59% of budget). She listed special-fund net changes: fire fund $17,900,000; road maintenance $3,600,000; nourishment $1,000,000; stormwater $8,100,000 (nearly 99% of budget revenue collected); recreation $3,100,000; and waste-management recycling $1,400,000. Committee members asked clarifying questions; no additional action was taken beyond receipt of the report.
