Krueger told the committee the district plans to "post notice of budget hearing and availability of budget for public inspection for at least 30 days prior to the budget hearing," with posting scheduled for May 1, 2026. The committee recorded that the amended budget would be adopted at a public meeting after the hearing scheduled for June 17, 2026, and that the district will submit the adopted budget electronically to the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) within 30 days of adoption.
Krueger provided a synopsis of the changes he will propose in the amended budget; the written tentative document will be available for public inspection pending Board approval of the timeline. The committee did not adopt the amended budget at the committee meeting and indicated the item will proceed to the Board for formal action.
