Board of Elections: 459 registration updates in March; early‑voting security plan completed

Chantell Hotaling and Ken Warner of the Cayuga County Board of Elections told the Government Operations Committee that in March the bureau processed or updated 459 registrations, address changes, party changes and name changes.
They reported that staff completed the county's Early Voting Security plan and a network security survey and have finalized procedures to prevent duplicate voting and to prevent the public release of voting results before permitted. Hotaling and Warner also said the office updated software and files to accept designating petitions and completed work related to year‑end grants and grant evaluations. The BOE updates were presented as routine preparatory work ahead of upcoming elections.
