The Village Board authorized the police department to apply for a $425,000 DCJS equipment grant that, if awarded, would be requested to pay for three hybrid patrol vehicles, a patrol vessel, new handguns and optics, and radar units for patrol. The mayor read Resolution 33, and trustees moved, seconded and voted to authorize the application.
Separately, the board approved Resolution 31 authorizing Dylan Sempervillo to resign as a part‑time dispatcher and be rehired as a part‑time police officer with an FTO start rate of $14.20 per hour and, upon successful completion, a higher rate. Resolution 32 authorized the hiring of Ryan Warden as a part‑time officer with the same FTO start rate. Motions were made and the board recorded aye votes for the resolutions during the meeting.
