Village officials said demolition preparations have begun at Benjamin's Steakhouse after the owner obtained a demolition permit this week. The mayor said interior asbestos abatement and other preparatory work are under way and the village building inspector recently inspected the site. "They're in there since Tuesday…they're on-site. Our building inspector has been there today," the mayor said.
