Dwyer said the funds derive from the sale of a property and described the donation as "an actual check that can be deposited right away," noting it differs from multi‑year state or federal grant processes.
Mayor (presiding) thanked the town and said the money will "go a long way" toward park projects and will be spent carefully: "We'll wait, make sure it's spent correctly and not have a knee-jerk reaction to anything," the mayor said. Dwyer emphasized continued town‑village partnership to ensure residents of areas outside village limits can access village parks and recreation facilities. The board accepted the presentation and said improvements will be planned with both village staff and town representatives.
