Commission recommends approval of amended group‑home SUP at Old Route 60 West
Summary
The commission unanimously recommended approval of changes to SUP‑25‑00002 at 2010 Old Route 60 West to extend the commencement period by 12 months and reduce maximum occupancy from 24 to 16, with staff finding the lower occupancy would reduce impacts to adjacent properties.

Staff recommended the Planning Commission recommend approval to the Board of Supervisors for amendments to SUP‑25‑00002 to extend the commencement period and reduce maximum occupancy at the group‑home facility on Old Route 60 West.
Mister Albiston told the commission the application, filed by Benny Zhang on behalf of MAI Homes 2 LLC, would extend the required commencement period by 12 months and change the SUP so the maximum number of occupants would drop from 24 to 16. “Staff recommends the planning commission recommend approval of the application to the board of supervisors subject to the proposed conditions,” Albiston said.
Commissioners asked clarification questions, heard from the applicant’s representative and then voted by roll call to recommend approval. The commission’s recommendation forwards the amended conditions to the Board of Supervisors for final action.
