City View Park moves into design phase, contractor in place

Abraham Luna, speaking for the Parks and Beautification team, told the board the City View Park project is in the design phase and that a contractor is in place to select playground equipment and park amenities. "We're in the design phase of City View Park...We've already met the public to see what they like to see there," Luna said.
Luna described the project as part of a broader bond program (phase 1) covering six sites and said the department is coordinating grants and stormwater input for the site. He directed detailed questions about stormwater and planting counts to Richard Thompson in the stormwater group and said planting at Legacy Island — a separate park project — showed most new mangroves thriving when inspected two months prior.
