Westminster launches 'Our Westminster' engagement site and opens public art vote; National Night Out plans noted

City Manager Andrews reviewed recent city events and outreach tools: the state’s Gala Gates event hosted with Comunidad Oaxaca drew more than 4,500 attendees at City Park, and the city launched a new engagement platform, Our Westminster, available in 16 languages and designed to help residents give direct feedback on projects.
Andrews urged residents to register and try the platform, noting the soft launch will focus initially on drought awareness and drought management. He also announced residents can vote on public art concepts for the new municipal courthouse from the city website through Aug. 11.
The manager reminded the council that National Night Out is scheduled for Aug. 4 with a downtown event from 5–7 p.m. and neighborhood events across 19 locations; the police department plans to have about 30 officers attend neighborhood events to strengthen community‑police ties.
