"They're gonna start with the elevator and library 1st. It's 325,000, 310 for the front elevator here, and then finally the rear elevator, which obviously we can do over a period of time for a total of $950,000," the chair said when summarizing the bid.
Board members identified a typo in an internal review letter that listed the library at $350,000 while the signed lump-sum bid lists $325,000; the chair clarified the signed bid form controls. On motion, the board accepted the KONE bid and authorized First Selectman Daniel Lee Carter to work with town counsel to execute and negotiate the contract, and later moved the $950,000 lump-sum recommendation on to the Board Finance for formal review.
