The council authorized an agreement with the Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) to provide universal access to CDTA routes for city employees for the contract period 09/01/2025 through 08/31/2026. Stacy read the agreement terms into the record: "The cost per ride for standard service will be a dollar 25. The cost paratransit rides will be $2.50. Flex trips will be a dollar 50 each, while the Northway and Thruway Express will be $4.50 per trip." The resolution specifies ridership costs will be capped at $5,000 and the city will be billed monthly until the cap is reached.
Council approved the resolution on roll call. The measure authorizes the mayor (per the resolution language) to execute the attached agreement; financial exposure is limited by the stated $5,000 cap on ridership costs, and the city will be billed only for services rendered up to that cap.
