County to continue SCORP-funded positions and add behavioral-services staff and crisis team members

Beth Brown told the committee that the South Carolina Opioid Recovery Fund (SCORP) will continue to fund two positions begun last year—a case manager for treatment court and a public-safety peer-support position—and described a new grant to fund a behavioral services director and two additional crisis-intervention team members who will provide around-the-clock licensed counseling.
Brown said volumes in treatment court have "skyrocketed" since wraparound services began and that the new positions will be provided jointly with the City of Conway and North Myrtle Beach to share costs across jurisdictions. The committee moved and seconded the resolution for approval.
