Science department outlines ACT strategies; Newsela, LTC coaching contract renewed

The board approved instructional resource contracts during the meeting: a 36-month Newsela contract in the amount of $37,324.80 and the Learning Technology Center instructional technology coaching contract renewal for $20,400 for 2026–27. Trustees recorded unanimous roll-call votes on the contract renewals as part of the consent agenda.
District administrators reminded the board of the assessment schedule: the online ACT with writing for all grade 11 students is scheduled for April 8; PreACT assessments for grades 9 and 10 are set for April 9.
