Horry County honors two sheriff’s deputies for 35 years of service

Horry County council on Monday honored two sheriff’s office employees who reached 35 years of service. Sheriff’s Office officials introduced Deputy Bobby Moore, who joined the county on 03/28/1990 and serves as a deputy first class in court security and was noted as the first deputy specifically requested by a judge for permanent assignment.
Sheriff’s Office leaders also introduced Andy Cooper, who began county service on 04/09/1990 and worked as a crime-scene specialist before moving to the offender registry division. Cooper thanked colleagues and family in brief remarks. "Thank the Lord for allowing me to be here today," Cooper said, adding he appreciated the sheriff allowing him to serve. Council and the sheriff praised both employees’ dedication and service to Horry County residents.
