Hononegah board approves personnel actions and emergency HR stipends

The Hononegah Community High School District 207 board approved personnel actions and compensation adjustments during its March 18 meeting. Trustees accepted a resignation (Marissa Scaduto, food service, effective Feb. 24, 2026), approved leaves of absence including Ariel Benovice (child care leave starting Aug. 10, 2026) and intermittent unpaid leave for Angel Daubert, and approved hires including Veronica Myers as a paraprofessional (pending BCI). The motion to approve these items was made by Eric Flohr, seconded by Mary Lewis, and carried with a unanimous roll call.
The board also approved several stipends for staff who assumed duties related to a Director of Human Resources vacancy: $20,000 each for Jodi Dirkx and Justin Krueger, and $2,500 each for Elaine Maurer and Andrea Sowers. The personnel slate included substitute placements and summer student worker hires for technology and buildings & grounds.
Board minutes record the personnel actions as approved following discussion in closed session. Trustee Mary Lewis moved approval of the resignations, employments and other matters discussed in closed session; the motion carried unanimously.
