Community development staff member Taylor said Valley Tech Park revenue from current tenants is projected at $105,000 for 2027 but the building has persistent leaks. "It currently leaks during heavy rain events into, offices," Taylor said, and reported one bid of about $143,000 (not counting all labor or multiple bids). Council members asked whether sealant fixes had been attempted and whether any funds had been earmarked previously; staff said silicone sealing had been used in the past but that a long-term replacement is warranted. Taylor and staff said the $200,000 request could be adjusted as additional bids are received and that the number was intended to provide a reasonable starting point for planning.
Council asked staff to obtain additional bids and consider short-term leak mitigation while pursuing a longer-term replacement plan.
