JoDee Copple, County Treasurer, presented a new Chief Elected Official Board Agreement required to certify Ottawa County's participation in a multi-county Local Workforce Development Area. The agreement maintains county participation in Kansas Workforce One oversight of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act-funded programs and the KANSASWORKS workforce system.
Commissioner Carla Grund moved to approve the agreement, Commissioner Duane Morris seconded, and the motion passed 3-0. The commission recorded no dissent; staff will proceed with the administrative steps required to maintain certification in the Local Workforce Development Area.
