County health-insurance costs running below 2025 projections, FCMI says

Yarmer described how projections are calculated and responded to Commissioner Carla Grund's question about methodology, saying projections are "divided into the 12 months" rather than weighted to year-end. She also reviewed dental costs through February 2025 and cautioned commissioners that the industry medical trend remains high — "the medical trend is 12-18%." The board did not take any immediate policy votes on changes to coverage at the meeting.
