Adjacent landowner Robert Miller opposed the closure, saying it provided an environmental buffer and that the vacation "didn't make economic sense." The County Attorney had approved the draft resolution, and the motion to adopt was made by Commissioner Scott Mortimer and seconded by Commissioner Carla Grund; the vote was 3-0 in favor. A copy of the resolution will be mailed to the petitioner and adjacent landowners and will be published as required.
