Town Manager Barbara Hollerand asked the board to clarify planning and zoning fees by adding the word 'Review' to inspection fees for development reviews and by making recreation fees due at final plat or at zoning permit approval. The board approved the fee-schedule clarification unanimously.
Hollerand also brought forward an amendment to extend the town’s on-call services agreement with WithersRavenel for two years; the board approved the extension contingent on review by the town attorney. Separately, the board adopted the Cape Fear Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan, which Hollerand said preserves the town’s ability to apply for FEMA funding; commissioners were told there is no cost to the town to adopt the regional plan.
