Council approves Oct. 26 Halloween/Fall Festival partnership for PA Avenue street fair

James Vanscoy requested that the Town partner with Cartoon Headquarters to host a Halloween/Fall Festival on PA Avenue on Oct. 26, 2024, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. The planned street fair would include inflatables, food trucks, crafts, a beer garden and a radio station; the Town agreed to supply electricity to the inflatables only.
Councilor Karen Phillips moved to approve the event and Councilor Rick Lafferty seconded; the motion passed unanimously. The council noted that purchases made for the town's 100th celebration could be reused for the festival, reducing costs to the town.
