Public Works Supervisor Taylor Keith reported project progress and equipment needs at the Aug. 13 meeting. Curb replacement on Indiana Avenue is nearly complete and will be followed by blacktopping; work on the 400 block sidewalk under the basketball courts is planned next. The contractor D&M is ahead of schedule on pipe installation for Phase IV, with completion expected within weeks.
For the newly approved 2024 F-350, PW provided outfitting cost estimates totaling $5,903.00: snowplow assembly and harness brackets $3,553.00, a used radio $1,400.00 and striping $950.00. The FY 2024/2025 budget already included funding for a snowplow and related equipment at an amount greater than the quoted price, the supervisor said.
