The Town of Nutter Fort council voted unanimously on Aug. 27 to pass the second reading of Ordinance 2024-09, authorizing the acquisition and construction of extensions, additions and improvements to the town’s public sewerage system and the issuance of sewer revenue bonds. The ordinance authorizes up to $1,500,000 in Series 2024 A bonds and up to $2,500,000 in Series 2024 B bonds under the West Virginia SRF program.
Councilor Karen Phillips moved to pass the second reading and Councilor Rick Lafferty seconded; the motion passed by unanimous vote. The ordinance text included provisions allowing for the execution and delivery of all documents relating to the issuance and for the sale and terms of the bonds. The council did not discuss specific project-by-project allocations at this meeting.
