The Town of Nutter Fort council unanimously adopted Resolution #2024-02 on Aug. 13 to accept an update to the Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan. Councilor Bryan Gonzalez moved for adoption, Councilor Karen Phillips seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
According to council discussion, formal adoption of the updated plan is necessary for the town to secure FEMA mitigation funding. The resolution was approved during new business and will be used to support grant applications and coordinated mitigation projects with county and regional partners.
