Public Works: Nicor services, pothole patching and storm cleanup underway

Director of Public Works Mark Trlak updated the council that Nicor will begin running services to homes and that residents will receive letters to schedule appointments requiring access inside houses. He said Crest poured a new pad for the guard shack and crews are actively pothole patching across the city.
Trlak reported crews are cutting and removing storm-damaged trees, will clean up and seed affected yards, and noted the city yard still contains debris from the storm. He also gave a shout-out to Kathy Rowe for progress with Metra, and Alderman Barnhouse thanked Trlak for repairing streetlights on her block.
