Treasurer Roti briefed the council on revenue trends and budget documents, saying the city had a recent uptick in income tax and video gaming receipts but has experienced long-term losses tied to state Local Government Distribution Fund (LGDF) changes.
"I highlighted the appropriation amounts and sent it to Gary Pearlman for approval in July. IML updated the Illinois income tax LGDF. We lost $4.3 mil between 2012-2025," Roti said. She also said she would deliver the ESAC report to the chief and mayor for approval and invited council questions.
Councilors did not make any immediate spending changes during the meeting; the Treasurer’s report was entered for committee review and follow-up.
