Mayor details banner plan, pricing for Celebrate America 250

Mayor Frank Finnegan told the council the city will proceed with purchasing banners for the Celebrate America 250 event and work with a local banner vendor on pricing.
"They will charge $105 per banner. We will still charge $110 to cover labor and the brackets," Finnegan said. He noted the city no longer needs a minimum order quantity and that the banners will be placed on Southwest Highway. The mayor also described the upcoming Celebrate America 250 event on June 26 at 5:30 p.m., saying it will include food trucks, concessions and family activities timed to coincide with Evergreen Park fireworks.
The mayor used the report to thank Public Works and police for their response to a fallen tree earlier that morning and reminded residents that the water park is operational.
