The People With Developmental Disabilities Subcommittee discussed several new-business items. The group recorded an open spot for one additional board member and agreed more information will be available at the next meeting. Elizabeth Signorelli (Vice Chair) told members she will be offering therapy services in Weedsport and hopes to begin providing on-site therapy in the near future.
Members also addressed changes to the CAST/CANS assessments and asked to review those changes in greater detail at the next meeting. On the topic of Prom (Night to Shine), the committee noted strict budget constraints and discussed seeking business sponsors to increase attendance; Chair Michelle VanGiesen said she will reach out to a contact named Chad for more information. The subcommittee did not adopt any formal motion on these items during the April 9 meeting.
