Council voted to approve a $5,000 Humane Colorado reimbursement grant for trap‑neuter‑release work for feral cats and approved a $5,000 lodging‑tax request to produce two promotional and safety videos for river put‑in points. Trustees also authorized pursuing an Edward Byrne Justice Assistance Grant for two fully funded patrol vehicles (application for $180,000). The council approved an SRT body‑worn camera grant application for $20,000 that would require a 50% local match; staff said the match could be budgeted or financed over multiple years if awarded.
Licensing items approved included renewal of Powell Liquor Company’s license and a renewal for Perry Investments (Main Street Pub). Council also accepted the March 2026 income statement after discussion of several one‑time and software costs that pushed administrative accounts above targets.
Council members discussed reimbursement procedures for the Humane Colorado grant and the need to bring any non‑budgeted grant purchases back to council before expenditure. Where grants carried a local match requirement, staff said purchase decisions would return to council for final approval.
