Lisa Jones, president of Colorado Northwestern Community College, addressed the council during public input to express the college's gratitude for town staff and contractors who provided rapid assistance after a sewer-line failure that disrupted campus operations.
"My name is Lisa Jones and I'm the proud president of Colorado Northwestern Community College, home of the Spartans," Jones said, and identified campus officials attending with her, including Chief Financial Officer Anya Peterson Frey and facilities director Kenneth Eser. She named employees who helped with the emergency and noted the college wanted to publicly recognize their response and professionalism.
Jones asked the council to accept small awards recognizing Mike Dillon and Joe Brown for their quick work on the sewer repair; she also recognized other contractors and the town's emergency responders and thanked the council for the town–college collaboration. The council acknowledged the presentation and asked staff to ensure the college's presentation materials and the honors are recorded in the town's public information.
