The budget increases reflect higher salaries and benefits (no new full‑time positions; the library remains at 16 employees) and investments in technology, including an ADA‑compliant website with the library’s share estimated at about $8,500.
Barb outlined planned expansions including a small branch/play lab opening this fall and a tourism maker space hub funded through a North Dakota Commerce grant that will require matching or in‑kind funds. Commissioners moved to approve the library budget as recommended by the library board of trustees; the motion passed by roll call.
