Office for the Aging to receive additional state funds and consolidate accounts; Meals on Wheels contract increased

Committee members approved several Office for the Aging housekeeping and funding items after staff said additional state revenue accompanied the requests.
"1st item, amending the corny meals on wheels contract for an additional $18,574," said Gabe, who explained the funds come with additional state revenue and are effectively pass-through funding that will not use county dollars. Gabe also asked to close the RSVP Advisory Council account at 5 Star Bank and move a smaller Triad Bank account into the office for aging, and to add two budgeted vehicles to the major equipment list; staff said the money for the vehicles is included in the lease amount. The committee approved each request and accepted the state funding increase.
