Basalt staff updates: deed-restricted units occupied, planner departs; P&Z sets next meeting

Staff updates at the end of the meeting noted that the first deed-restricted units in the Salt Center Circle development are being occupied and that the town has escrowed funds to secure completion of the supermarket space; construction was described as wrapping up on the residential portion. James (staff) said the town is purchasing and closing on deed-restricted units and that residential temporary certificates of occupancy are in place.
Staff also announced that Carlton Henry, who led the P&Z briefings for the hotel application, is taking a senior role with the town of Snowmass Village and that his last meeting was Aug. 4. The commission set a next meeting date for Sept. 1 and closed the session at 07:57.
