Council approved Work Authorization No. 3 (RFQ 0034-20) for program management to fast-track the Midtown Streetscape and utility replacement project for Union Street between Jackson Street and Central Avenue.
Staff updated the original not-to-exceed amount after receiving bids and said the total compensation for the work directive will be $2,842,911.49 to AIM Construction Contracting LLC. Council approved the authorization and staff said the fast-track schedule responds to planned development opening at the end of October. Council asked staff to coordinate funding and any CRA involvement as project planning progresses.
The approval allows staff to execute the program-management contract and proceed to construction bidding; staff will report back with schedules and any contract amendments as needed.
