EMS reports 80 emergency calls, 127 BLS and 8 ALS transports; fire department readies for Fall Festival

Fire Chief Jeremy Haddix said the Fall Festival on Pennsylvania Avenue is scheduled for Oct. 27, 2024 and an 'Ultimate giveaway' is planned for Nov. 9. Haddix also said most fire-prevention activities are wrapping up and that two personnel were deployed south to assist with Hurricane Helene response.
