Dwight Filer, chairman of the Twisp Tree Board, told council that Arbor Day will be held on May 3 at noon and that the board will raffle a repaired mountain bike during the event. "The bike will be raffled off during Arbor Day," he said.
Filer said he met with Planner Vetter about planting ten trees along the SR20 Bike/Ped Path project. Council members supported the coordination between the Tree Board and town planning staff; the tree plantings are intended to complement the sidewalk and path work.
The town reminded residents the chipping drive is set for April 14 and 15; all piles must be placed on the curb by the night of Sunday the 13th and the event is for town residents only.
