The Twisp Town Council unanimously approved the LA 9877 Supplemental Agreement for the North End SR 20 pedestrian and bicycle path after staff briefed the council on schedule and outreach.
Director Denham said the SR20 Bike/Ped path pre-construction meeting is set for April 7 and that he anticipates issuing a notice to proceed shortly. "The project should begin sometime within the next month," he said, and warned there could be periodic highway delays during construction.
Planner Vetter and Tree Board Chairman Dwight Filer discussed planting ten trees along the project corridor to provide shade and screening, and Filer noted the Arbor Day tree-planting event scheduled for May 3 at noon. Council members approved the supplemental agreement and passed related procedural motions unanimously.
Staff said they will manage public outreach and aim to minimize traffic impacts while the contractor completes the work.
