Program manager reports $3 million cash balance, highlights outreach and technical work

Staff reported fiscal year-end status for the regional water management fund: approximately $3,000,000 cash balance, continued professional work on the wastewater regionalization study, completion of Cold Springs modeling (under county review), and expanded public STEM water education reaching about 3,500 people.
At the commission's program manager report, Kim Rigdon summarized accomplishments supported by the regional water management fund and presented the fiscal year-end financial report.
Rigdon highlighted completion of Phase 1a of the wastewater regionalization feasibility study and ongoing work on subsequent phases, Tomwa's completion of more than 3,000 residential and commercial water-usage reviews, and Sierra Nevada Journeys' expansion of a water STEM education program (from 13 family STEM nights to 38 events, reaching approximately 3,500 people). On finances she reported, "So we're at 3,000,000 in our cash balance end of year, and we're in really good financial health." Staff said figures will be posted in the board packet and that final FY27 items will be presented at the next meeting.
