Council approves permanent year‑end transfers totaling multiple funds

On April 14 the Mount Carroll City Council unanimously approved Resolution No. 3‑2026 authorizing a set of permanent end‑of‑year transfers described in Exhibit A. The motion, made by Alderman Jeff Elliott and seconded by Alderman Paul Kaczmarski, carried by roll call 6–0.
The transfers listed in Exhibit A include: $175,000 from Debt Service to the Water Fund; $90,000 from the Waste Water Treatment Plant fund to the Sewer Fund; $9,000 from the General Fund to Cemetery; $13,067.07 from the General Fund to Audit; $12,000 from the General Fund to Park; and $8,000 from the General Fund to Recreation. Alderman Elliott presented the motion with the list of amounts and the council approved without amendment.
Council members did not record further debate on the transfers at the meeting. The transfers will be executed by the Treasurer's office as described in the resolution.
