Animal Control Officer J. Goodell presented the May 2026 monthly report and informed the committee that, following the recent sale of the Five Star Bank building, COVID‑19 supplies from DiMatteo, Roach & Kelly were discovered in the building at closing. "The supplies were in the building upon closing. The animal shelter has been gifting these supplies to many across the county," the minutes state. Goodell said the shelter has been distributing the donated items locally.
Goodell also requested permission for the shelter to appear on WCJW a few times a month to promote adoptions and educational segments; the committee approved the request on a motion by Berwanger (ayes 7). No dollar amounts or detailed inventory of the donated supplies were recorded in the minutes.
