Committee doubles per-provider caps for county competency-examination contracts

By resolution the committee increased the authorized total for the contract with Daniel Antonius, Ph.D., from $12,000 to $24,000 (Change Order #3522) and likewise raised the cap for Corey Leidenfrost, Ph.D., to $24,000 (Change Order #3521). Both amendments were introduced under Mental Health agenda items and carried on motions by Supervisor Merrill; the record shows five ayes and two absences (Prior, McCormick).
Committee materials state the county has six contracts covering competency evaluations and that most services are provided through Drs. Leidenfrost and Antonius. The amendments are effective for calendar year 2026 and were recorded as formal resolutions during the meeting.
