Street sweeper operational; council plans pole and sidewalk repairs near Main Street

Mount Carroll’s Street Foreman, Mark Traum, told the council that the new street sweeper is now operational. He said crews plan to replace a street pole pedestal on Main Street when temperatures permit and, while working in that area, to repair the sidewalk outside Frontier Insurance, which will require about 4–6 yards of concrete.
Council members asked staff to coordinate budgeting and timing; Traum is working with Treasurer Amy Schneider to compile budget numbers and obtain pricing for seal coating work. No contract award or start date was recorded in the minutes.
