Street Foreman Mark Traum told the council that the Street Department has identified roughly 3.75 miles of roadways that need resurfacing to preserve the pavement. Traum said the department has been "meeting with Helm Equipment to measure streets to get a quote for chip and seal to maintain the streets" and that Helm will be able to customize a quote based on funds allocated in the budget.
Traum also reported recent maintenance work: the garage door was replaced by Dan’s Overhead Door and crews have been cleaning debris in the cemetery and doing spring equipment maintenance. The resurfacing assessment covers streets of varying widths and will be considered as part of upcoming budget planning and preservation work.
